Ashton was scheduled to come in for his newborn session one week after his birth... but, it turned out that poor, sweet, beautiful baby Ashton had broken his collarbone during birth and his newborn session would need to be rescheduled.

Posing and wrapping Ashton would have been so very painful for him and wasn't a risk his Momma or myself would be willing to take.

At six weeks Ashton's Momma contacted me to let me know that Ashton was healed and cleared by his Doctor and could be rescheduled for his newborn photography session!

So very often, I hear of parents missing out on newborn photos, because they have somehow come to believe that they must be taken by the time their baby is two weeks old, and if they've missed that window, they don't reach out to a photographer.

Please reach out to us. It isn't too late to capture these once in a lifetime memories of your newborn baby!

By definition, a newborn is a newborn until they are 8 weeks old, so this is my guide for photographing newborn sessions in my studio.

Ideally, to get the very sleepy, curly, images that you so often see of newborns, they are taken by two weeks, if possible, please schedule your session by this time. 

But, photographing your baby past this age is still possible!

With lots of patience and time and adjusted expectations you will still have a beautiful gallery of images of your baby.
